Official websiteFrom the airport
Most visitors fly into Hamad International Airport (DOH) and reach Al Maha Island by taxi or ride-hailing car in about 30–40 minutes. The Doha Metro Red Line runs to Lusail, from where a short taxi ride crosses to the island.
Getting around
The island is small and walkable, with taxis and ride-hailing the easiest way to move between the parks, beach and restaurants.
Local tips
- Dress modestly in public areas; swimwear is fine at beach clubs and pools.
- Carry a card or Qatari riyals for taxis and small purchases; most venues take cards.
- Avoid outdoor activities in the middle of the day from June to September, when heat is extreme.
- Book theme park and beach club tickets online in advance, especially on weekends and holidays.
