Terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms form an agreement between you and Sereyan for Private Software Services Design and Programming (commercial permit no. 343175), the operator of Bookskies ("we", "us"), based in the State of Qatar. Our privacy policy, cookie policy, comment policy and refunds and subscriptions page are part of these terms. Questions: info@sereyan.com.

2. Information, not advice

Our guides explain official rules and public health advice as they stood on the "Last reviewed" date shown on each guide. They are general information, not legal, immigration or medical advice, and they don't take your personal situation into account.

• Entry rules, fees and health requirements can change without notice. Always check the official source we link to shortly before you travel.
• Your airline, the border authority and the embassy or consulate have the final word on whether you can travel or enter a country.
• For health questions, talk to a doctor, pharmacist or travel clinic.

We don't sell tickets, hotels or tours, and we don't make bookings.

3. The trip planner and destination pages

• Plans are generated automatically from our destination data and the details you enter. They are suggestions to help you prepare, not a guarantee that a place will be open, available or safe on a given day.
• Prices are estimates in US dollars converted at recent exchange rates. Actual prices depend on season, availability and provider.
• Opening days, closures, weather and travel advice can change. Check the official websites, and the travel advice of your own government, before booking.
• Plan links are public to anyone who has them and are deleted seven days after creation. Download the PDF if you want to keep a copy.
• Downloading a plan as a guest requires an email address and agreement to receive our newsletter, which you can cancel at any time.

4. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 to create an account and must give a valid email address you control.
• You can sign in with a password, a one-time email link or Google. Keep your password and email account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
• When you create an account you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and the privacy policy.
• We may suspend or close accounts used to break these terms, the law or our comment policy, or to harm other users or the site. You can delete your account at any time from My account.

5. Memberships

• Memberships are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown before you pay.
• If your plan includes a free trial, you won't be charged if you cancel before it ends.
• You can cancel at any time from My account; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
• New members can get a full refund within 14 days of their first payment. See refunds and subscriptions.
• Payments are processed by the payment provider named at checkout. Taxes are shown at checkout where they apply.
• Membership is personal. Don't share your account or republish members-only guides.

6. Acceptable use

When you use the site, you agree not to:

• copy, republish or sell our guides, destination data or plans, in whole or in substantial part, without our written permission;
• scrape, crawl or download the site with automated tools, except search engines and feed readers that respect our robots.txt and show only the excerpts our RSS feeds provide;
• try to get around the members-only paywall, security checks, rate limits or sign-in;
• post spam, malware or content that is illegal, misleading or infringes others' rights;
• use the site to harass anyone or to collect other users' personal data.

7. Your content

You keep the rights to the comments and reports you send. By posting a comment, you allow us to publish, display, moderate, shorten and translate it on the site in any language version, for as long as it remains published. You confirm that it is your own and doesn't break the law or our comment policy.

8. Our content

The guides, destination data, design, logo and names are protected by copyright and trademark law. Photos are credited to their photographers and used under their licences. You may quote short extracts with a link to the source page. Anything more needs our written permission.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or up to date. We may add, change or remove features, guides or destinations at any time.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss resulting from reliance on the site, including denied boarding, refused entry, missed connections, booking costs, price differences or health outcomes. Our total liability to a member is limited to the membership fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Links to other sites

We link to official and third-party websites for your convenience. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and the courts of Qatar have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer rights of your country of residence. Please contact us first; most issues can be solved by email.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects paying members, we will tell them by email before it applies to their next renewal.
